Masts

Our skinny masts contain 90% pre-preg carbon fiber. Pre-preg is the key to acheiving a superior weight-to-strength ratio. The fibers are pre-saturated to an exact resin-to-fiber ratio, then hand-wrapped around a mandrel, and then thermally cured.

The Ezzy Skinny Mast gets its superior strength from the 50% extra thickness of its walls. The small diameter makes the Ezzy Skinny a dream to sail. You'll notice the improved handling right away in your jibes.Each mast comes with a mast shim that fits a standard boom.

Ezzy tops and bottoms are interchangeable and sold individually. You can buy the perfect combination for your sail quiver. That means fewer masts.

The general rule when mixing tops and bottoms is: choose a shorter bottom with a longer top.

Using the very latest filament winding technology the FreeWave 45 sets the benchmark for entry into the performance advantages of carbon fibre masts. A relatively high 45% carbon content makes for lively performance whilst representing excellent value for money.

Hand built using pre-impregnated carbon materials and heat cured in an autoclave the FreeWave 75 is a high quality structural laminate at an attainable price level. This mast brings professional levels of performance and feel to the recreational sailor.

Handbuilt Using pre-impregnated carbon materials and heat cured in an autoclave to produce a lightweight competition mast at an affordable priice. Particularly recommended for large Freeride, Slalom or Racing sails where the advantage of light weight makes a huge difference. Kevlar reinforced at the boom and base to ensure its durability.

Recommended for large sail performance applications including waves (with care!).

100% Carbon, this mast combines the exotic lightweight advantage of a 100% carbon mast with the durability of a lower spec' product. The upper half is incredibly light but the base has been strengthened with the introduction of intermediate modulus carbon fibres in combination with additional woven reinforcements. This mast is obviously great for the racer, but its use extends far beyond that. As a super-light mast it will feel fantastic whatever your level of windsurfing ability.

Recommended for all disciplines, except wave and extreme freestyle use.

All Pro Series 100 masts are supplied with a Tushingham padded mast bag.

Reduced diameter masts are often the first choice for wave and big action sailors. Their narrow diameter and thicker walled configuration makes them inherently stronger than an equivalent standard diameter mast. The RD Wave uses 100% carbon fibres and is built to the same specification as the latest Pro Series 100, with further Kevlar woven reinforcement at the base and in the boom area.

The narrower diameter of the lower part of the mast has a significant effect on how it will match the sail's luff curve. We've made a corresponding adjustment to the mast's bend curve, in order to achieve a perfect fit with conventionally cut sails.

Recommended for hard use in all Wave, Freestyle and High Wind sails.

A super skinny RDM mast with reduced diameter (2mm) in the mid section. 2mm may not sound a lot but a diameter reduction of this magnitude in the mid section does have a significant effect on performance, offering "punchy" power delivery from the sail and improved bottom-end.

This new style of mast is preferred by some sailors who like its extra responsive feel when compared to a standard RDM. It really is a matter of personal choice. In all other respects, all the comments and features of the RD Wave 100 apply equally to this mast.

Recommended for hard use in all Wave, Freestyle and High Wind sails.
